This coming Sunday we are blessed that not one, not two, but three of our daughters will be baptized! They have all decided to trust Jesus as their savior and commit their lives to God. They have had many conversations about Jesus with myself and their Dad about what this means.
In Acts 17:26-28 Paul proclaims about God,
From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us. For in him we live and move and have our being. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.
My heart is full because my girls have recognized that they belong to God. God has marked out each of their appointed times in history. They will not be perfect, because they are human and no one is perfect. However, they realize that God is always with them and He will help them in all of their life. I pray that they will always choose to seek him and find Him. I pray that for all of us as well, because their is nothing so sweet as finding God.
